Alternative apps for meetings?

Posted on: September 6, 2012

The CeL is likely to lose our favourite meeting venue in NIE, the Media eXperientiaL Studio (MxL) soon. I am already mourning its loss it as a classroom.

But an obstacle is also an opportunity. We can rethink the way we conduct department meetings.

We already use Google Docs to record meeting minutes evenĀ before a meeting starts and to flip presentations to some extent.

Perhaps we can use an app like Assemblee.

Or we could simply use Google Hangouts to meet, show videos, share screens, etc.

Since there are about 20 of us, we can pair up to and meet from our workspace or wherever we may be!

All in favour, say, “Arrr!”
