Inclusive Finnish education

I finally had a chance to catch up with some videos on my “watch later” list in YouTube.
This is a video of the aspects of the Finnish education system that folks do not normally focus on.
The focus is normally on how kids who undergo very little testing somehow do very well in international tests. The focus then typically shifts to the highly qualified and professional teachers.
I think this video is the Finnish version of no child left behind.
It is not the the USA’s precursor to the race to the bottom, nor is it the MOE bus ad reminding teachers to “leave no child behind” (the message could apply to absentminded parents or caregivers).
No, the video is about a non-stigmatizing special education system that seems integrated into mainstream schooling. It is also about the professionalism of the Finnish teachers. There is no avoiding that in any good educational system.
