Creating serendipity

Last week I tweeted:
MindMeister on Google Drive, mindmeister.com/blog/2012/04/2…—

Why? I was looking for a solution for embedding digital mindmaps in our Google Sites-hosted e-portfolio system.
The fact that MindMeister is now linked to the new Google Drive system means that there is a potential solution.
By coincidental design, one of the CeL staff was thinking about the same problem but found another solution and shared it on our social media space.
Lucidchart is a tool that works with a Chrome extension and is also linked to Google Drive.
I call our discoveries coincidental design because we did not discuss the need to solve this problem. But we found solutions to them by using social media as part of our work flow. This is one way of creating serendipity!
