I like how this implementation of QR (quick response) codes is meaningful to the user. Instead of wasting time while waiting for the train, they can shop for groceries. The grocery chain not only advertises but sells products at the same time.
Likewise. educational implementations of QR codes should drop the cool factor and focus on uncovering meaningful uses of QR codes for learning.

[...] Shopping for groceries takes quite a chunk of my time each week. It’s great to have Woodman’s – with its wide selection and low prices – just a few blocks away from where I live; and Willie St. Co-op – with all the stuff I can’t find at Woodman’s – just a short drive Atwood/Williamson; and Fraboni’s, where I can find all the great Italian stuff that can’t be found elsewhere (from real Greek feta, to al the cool kitchen gadgets from JosephJoseph), just a short drive up Monona Dr. But sometime my shopping list requires stoppng at all three places (only WSC has Wallaby yogurt, only Fraboni’s has good feta, capicola, and prosciutto). So this video made me a little jealous. Perhaps, one day this will be a reality here. (via Another Dot…) [...]
